New Wine Discipleship Year

The New Wine Discipleship Year (NWDY) is an exciting year of adventure, investment and growth. It is a year of equipping, encouraging and empowering to see the Kingdom of God advance, here in the city of Bristol.

We work in partnership with other churches across the city - each one offering great internship placements for the Discipleship Year.

Teaching: Our teaching is delivered on a Tuesday by the Müller’s Course (www.mullers.org/training), where there will be an opportunity to receive an accreditation certificate in Practical Theology at Level 3. There are additional sessions to the course to provide a chance to dig deeper in your own personal discipleship.

Placements: There are a variety of placement opportunities at Woodies for NWDY interns in a number of areas of church ministry. There are opportunities in anything from Children’s ministry to Communications or from Young Adults to Administration, so there’s definitely something for you.

Cost: The cost of doing the course is covered by Woodlands Church, so it is absolutely free. However, the year is an unpaid year and you will be expected to cover your costs of living.

Accommodation: New Wine Discipleship Year applicants are expected to find their own accommodation local to the church. However, there may be the opportunity to live in one of the Woodlands Community houses. Applicants may also be eligible for housing benefit.
