September 15th 2019 9.15am: Loser: Losing your rights. (Philippians 2:1-18. I Corinthians 9).

We live with two ideas that are both ‘modern’. One is the idea that we have agreed inalienable human rights. The other is ‘individualism’. In a 1st Century culture outlook would have been very different about both those assumptions. The great passage of Philippians 2 speaks of Jesus laying down his rights in the deepest possible way.
